A'lN, perhaps at Ain-el-Azi one of the sources of the river Orontes, a remarkable spring 11 ms. s.w. of Riblah which is 100 ms. n. of the Sea of Galilee. Another place of the same name was a city of Judah afterward given to Simeon and probably to be located at the present Ghuwein 11 1/2 ms. s. by w. of Hebron, where are extensive ruins, as there are at the upper Ghuwein, a mile north.
